About Us:

In 2021, Harbor Island Yacht Club will host our 32nd year of our Youth Sailing Program. Our Sail Camp program is intended for children and teens ages seven through 17.  It is structured to build sailing skills from beginners through advanced sailors. Our goal is to introduce children and teens to sailing, but also to racing, and to build advanced knowledge of small boat handling in a safe, fun environment. The program is taught by knowledgeable, trained young adults, and caring counselors all of whom are required to complete a full week of staff training and instructors have US Sailing Instructor certification.  HIYC Sail Camp is managed by the non-profit Nashville Sailing Foundation.
